The 9th Annual Groff Exhibition will be held  at City Gallery on the campus of San Diego City College in downtown San Diego. The exhibition will be on view from May 9-22, 2022  with a Closing Awards Ceremony and Reception at City Gallery Sunday May 22, 2022  at 1-3pm.  Details will be shared with each participation and educator.

2022 Exhibition Timeline

February 7, 2022- Call for Entry Open on Art Call
March 25, 2022 - Final Day to enter Artwork on Art Call
April 11, 2022 - Teachers notified of Works Juried in 
April 11-22, 2022- Art Drop off at SDCOE or Wepsic Home
May 9- 22,2022 - Exhibition: City Gallery, SD City College
May 22, 2022- Closing Awards Reception (take art home directly from walls) 
 

Entry Eligibility Rules


Open to all media, no size restrictions, 2D, 3D and installation.

Option to include student and family emails so they can be contacted directly via ArtCall. 

Open to all high school students grades 9-12 in San Diego County.

Entries must be submitted digitally by teachers for online jurying HERE.

Artistic Integrity Policy

Work that makes use of photographs, published images, and or other artists/ works, must show creative development beyond duplication.  This may be demonstrated through manipulation of formal qualities, design, and/or concept of the original work.  It is unethical, constitutes plagiarism, and often violates copyright law to simply copy an image (even in another medium) that was created by someone else.  PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT STUDENT WORKS THAT ARE COPIES OF WORKS CREATED BY OTHER ARTISTS.  Any works found to be in violation of this policy will be rejected from the show, even if after the jury process.  TEACHERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ARTISTIC INTEGRITY OF THEIR SUBMISSIONS. 

To Submit Your Students' Artwork

Complete the teacher registration.

Complete entries for up to 6 student works and upload up to three digital images of each work.

Teachers will be notified by email of works accepted after jurying by April 11, 2022.
